AWWA C200 Standard Specification for Drinking Water Transmission Pipelines: In May 1985, the United States Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) and a consortium led by the National Science Foundation International (NSF) signed a cooperation agreement to develop voluntary third-party consensus standards and certification programs for direct and indirect drinking water additives.
